Supported Independent Living
Regular supervision of everyday chores
Supported independent living is generally confused with dependence. However, the support services NDIS participants receive are in direct proportion to their capacity for independence. Safe Nests offers supported independent living services to participants who wish to fly the nest and view life from a different seat while developing their skills and exercising independence.
Safe Nests places increased emphasis on the training of professional personnel to provide participants with regular supervision of everyday chores and to help them to make a smooth transition and live as independently as possible. Additionally, Safe Nests’ bedrock support of quality services are most commonly received in shared living arrangements. Supported independent living’s services include the following:
- Assistance with shopping and banking
- Maintaining health and well-being
- Assistance with household chores
- Support with scheduled transport services
- Support with home modification
We are registered NDIS Providers and provide free consultation.
